Physics 451 -- Introduction to Supersymmetry and Supergravity

Physics 451 introduces Supersymmetry, the symmetry that relates fermions and bosons in relativistic quantum theory. The course will cover:

Representations of N=1 supersymmetry in 4 dimensions; construction of supersymmetric actions; superspace.
Actions for N > 1 supersymmetry and supersymmetry in higher dimensions; geometry of supersymmetric actions.
Supergravity in 4, 5, 11 dimensions.
Coupling of matter to supergravity in 4 dimensions.
Realistic models of particle physics incorporating supersymmetry.
