Description
In Event Taking mode (the primary operation mode),
the Instrument Physics tasks filter event messages.
This is discussed, in detail,
in the Event Filtering
tutorial.

The LAT Instrument
sends
Events to the Slaves.

The Slaves filter the events and
send
the result to the Solid State Recorder (SSR).

The Slaves also
send
Event metric messages to the Master,
which (occasionally)
sends
Summary telecommands to the SSR.

A Slave may
send
a Gamma-ray candidate message to the Master.

Alternatively, the GBM (Gamma-ray Burst Monitor) task may
send
a Notification message to the Master.

In either case, the Master may take none, one, or both
of the following actions:
- issue
an Alert/Repoint Command to the Spacecraft
- issue
a Command to the Slaves, telling them to
send
reconfiguration commands to the LAT Instrument
