Description

Diagnostic mode is used to collect qualitative data on the LAT instrument (e.g., component functionality). In this mode, the Instrument Physics tasks operate subsets of the instrument, looking for expected behavior.

• The Spacecraft sends a Command packet to the Master.

• The Master forwards it (as a message) to the Slaves.

• The Slaves then send configuration commands to the LAT Instrument.

• The LAT sends Events to the Slaves.

• The Slaves send Assorted data to the Solid State Recorder (SSR) and send Event metric messages to the Master.

• The Master (eventually) sends Summary packets to the SSR.
