Description

Calibration mode is used to collect quantitative data on the LAT instrument (e.g., systematic biases). In this mode, the Instrument Physics (IP) tasks provide artificial signals to portions of the instrument, collecting the resulting data.

• The Spacecraft sends a Command packet to the Master.

• The Master forwards the packet (as a message) to the Slaves.

• It then forwards the packet (as a message) to the LAT Instrument.

• The LAT responds by generating Events. The Slaves accept and process these, forwarding a Calibration summary to the Master. The Master forwards this to the Solid State Recorder.
