FSW Requirement 5.4.2.1 (prev, next)
Req. 5.4.2.1: "LAT Coordinate System"The FSW shall use the LAT coordinate system defined in [6]. Basis (help)
3.2.1.1: "Coordinate Systems" The SC coordinate system shall be as defined in the Spacecraft Performance Specification, 433-SPEC-0003. The LAT coordinate system and the LAT Interface Plane (LIP) shall be as defined in Figure A-1. The LAT coordinate system axes shall be nominally co-aligned with those of the SC coordinate system. The LAT IPO and SC contractor shall use the SC coordinate system in all models that are interchanged between the LAT IPO, the SC contractor, and/or the GSFC Project Office. 5.3.1.1: "Axes Definition {SI/SC IRD 3.2.1.1}" The SI shall use a definition of right-handed orthogonal axes based on the orientation of the instrument when it is mounted on the spacecraft. The X and Y-axes lie in a plane parallel to the interface plane, with the Y-axis aligned with the axis of spacecraft solar array rotation. The Z-axis is normal to the interface plane, with the +Z direction defined as pointing from the interface plane away from the spacecraft through the instrument.
