FSSC: (Joe) is still working on tip. He's solved the primary issue, but a couple more have arisen.
Macs: (Joe) Have any steps been taken to get a Mac machine running a newer version of the OS? (Richard) Will poke Julie and Jeremy again. We need to decide what OS(es) we will support, and we need some help to provide that support.
Hardware: (Tom) Migration of all partitions on wain032 have been migrated to GPFS. /u27 (used by astroserver datasets) which resided on wain026 has also been migrated. Next up is the rest of wain026.

Early on in the migration process there were problems when too many processes tried to access the same file. Wilko put in a fix, but recently such problems have cropped up again. Tom is trying to get in touch with Wilko (not easy these days).

(Richard) There is an IFC meeting Sunday; he will give the usual talk. Plans include purchase of file servers, tapes and a proposed 50K for batch cores. (Tom) What about tape drives? (Richard) In order to contribute as the Computer Center requested we need to get a better deal on other purchases. They're working on that.
C&A (Leon) There were presentations on fine-tuning various things. See the agenda.
Core talk:
- Externals: (Heather) is still working on building ROOT for rhel6 and various externals for MountainLion.
  
  There has been a request from David et. al. to hold off on dropping support for rhel5. The question is: for how long? (David) I could not get the information today from the system engineer.
- Mac and CrashPlan (Joanne) finally met with someone from the Computer Center to see about getting CrashPlan installed but, when he found out the Mac is not a personal desktop but a server, he suggested we could make a case for an exception to the requirement. I've written up justification for such an exception and sent it to him. He will forward it to the appropriate parties.
- RM: Optimized HEAD (Joanne) Last week Heather requested the ability to trigger optimized HEAD builds of ST on rhel6. RM had no entries in its database for that particular combination. That has now been implemented (and used successfully). RM will not make such builds automatically when there is a new HEAD, but they can be triggered.
