The MIL-STD-1553 Bus is a military standard interface bus, used between the spacecraft and the LAT.

Discretes

The Discretes are digital Input/Output lines, set by the Spacecraft and the LAT Instrument.

GASU

The GASU (GAS Unit) contains the Global Trigger Electronics Module (GEM, containing the Global Trigger logic), AEM (Anti-Coincidence Detector Electronics Module), EBM (Event Builder Module), and the CRU (Command/Response Unit).

LAT Instrument

The LAT Instrument delivers triggered events (in 18 fragments, assembled by the Event Builder module).

Solid State Recorder

The Solid State Recorder is a serial recording device, located on the Spacecraft. It is used to store information for transmission to Earth.
