This diagram provides an overview of the FSW data flow, in the context of its hardware environment. Please note that:

• The GAS (Global Trigger, ACD, DAQ, and SIG) Unit (GASU) has been divided, for expository purposes, into two sections. The output side of the Event Builder (EB) appears at the top of the diagram; the rest of the GASU appeears at the bottom.

• The Spacecraft Interface Unit (SIU) hosts all of the "Master" tasks. Both the SIU and the Event Processing Units (EPUs) host Slave tasks, but the Instrument Physics Slave tasks are found only on EPUs.

• The EPUs are not connected to the 1553 Bus, so they must communicate with the Spacecraft via (a task on) the SIU.
