Description
This task is a service-level task/driver. It receives LAT internal-protocol packets from the LAT instrument (e.g., the Event Builder Module) and the other CPUs, via the LAT Communications Board.
All CPUs are able to use the (asynchronous) "event" path. In practice, only the SIU talks to the LAT instrument, using the (synchronous) command-response path.
