This package is used for the following

To define detectors used in the simulation, for which it is a client of the package GlastMedia. See the inheritance tree GlastDetector.
For reading back the IRF files that are created during the simulation phase. The class Instrument provides an interface for this.
Creating the data classes from the glastsim-style reconstruction. See DataConverter, which contains an instance of VetoData, SiData, and CsIData, and will fill them by traversing the GlastDetector hierarchy.
