Core Minutes 10/9/2012FSSC: (Alex) v9r30p1 is in good shape generally. (Tom S.) is still having problems on Mountain Lion. And the ROOTless version is broken on all platforms. (Alex) thinks he knows how to fix it — a problem on their end.
Reprocessing: (Heather) There had been rumors of a typo in the calib dbs possibly necessitating a re-reprocessing of several months of data (Leon) but it won't be necessary. The typo had to do with end-ofvalidity-interval value: it was erroneously set to 2037. But fortunately the calib infrastructure has enough brains to pick the most recently-updated calibration in case two or more are suitable, and this is the choice we needed. He has since fixed the wrong value in the calib db.
Pass 8 (Heather) The new GR tag, 20-06-01, has all of the Pass 8 updates till now plus SConsFiles update for supersede. After some effort, test_Gleam now runs on rhel 5, but there are problems loading certain libraries on Windows, complaints about msvcr90. (Joanne) This sounds reminiscent of problems we've had in the past when the debug information for the external wasn't in the expected form — or something like that. (Tracy) suggests we go ahead and run systests on the Linux version. If it's ok, we declare success and work on the Windows version next week. (Heather) has made a CMT build for VS 2003 and may also try to make an SCons build there. (Tracy) In any event, we can't afford to incorporate any more updates now.
B3-1-0 (Tracy) This new flight software release addresses compression issues associated with trunc64. JJ reduced size to something manageable. There are no changes in the interface visible to us. The new build will be uploaded next Tuesday and activated as early as Thursday. (Joanne) doesn't expect to have time to make a new version of obf and make small but necessary changes to our stuff before leaving tomorrow morning for BNL, especially since the export libraries aren't yet available, but will write some instructions for Tracy.
SCons RM (Tom S.) LATCalibRoot is now being set properly for Windows builds. [muffled cheers in the background].
Windows developer environment (Tracy) Is unable to find the src zip file. (Leon) They're the same as developer. You'd do better to check out source from CVS. [Apparently access to u55, where the zip files for GR are kept, is flaky. Tracy was able to see it later.]
