Core Minutes 2/9/2016
ScienceTools: (Jim) No news.
FSSC: (Joe) No news.
Hardware glitches: (Richard)
C&A (Leon) There were two presentations, the first about ongoing work on CalOnly events. If we're willing to accept a somewhat larger PSF, around 2 degrees, we see 40% more events in the range 20 GeV - 1 TeV. The second presentation concerned a bug in EarthCoordinate.cxx in astro. The altitude component of the geodetic coordinates calculation is incorrect. The feeling is that it should be fixed (there are a couple different options on how) and FT2 files should be regenerated. See GRINF-76 for more information. Links to both presentations can be found in the C&A agenda.
Externals (Heather) The new externals are all built for rhel6. The only remaining hurdle concerns TMine. Heather will consult with Eric on that one.
Next up: building externals for rhel7.
Mac support (Jim) In order to productively use the Virtual Box Mac VM provided by FSSC on his laptop he needs a command-line debugger. (Mac gui apps don't run reliably in this set-up.) He's working with Jeremy on this. Since he doesn't always have his laptop with him, it would be good to install the Mac VM on a SLAC server. Is Tony the right person to do this? (Richard) would start with Tony.
