The {\ttfamily cid} command provides the means to look at CMX interface definition (.cid) files. The queries can be quite involved and use a syntax very much like the {\ttfamily cmx} command itself. What follows are a subset of the various commands available. For the full syntax, see the \char`\"{}CMX User Manual\char`\"{}.

{\ttfamily $>$ cid check $<$interface-\/file-\/name$>$\par
 $>$ cid compare $<$old-\/interface-\/file-\/name$>$ $<$new-\/interface-\/file-\/name$>$\par
 $>$ cid find $<$interface-\/file-\/name$>$ $<$symbol-\/name$>$ \mbox{[}$<$symbol-\/name$>$ ...\mbox{]}\par
 $>$ cid show global $<$interface-\/file-\/name$>$\par
 $>$ cid show interface $<$interface-\/file-\/name$>$\par
