MKN501 (aka J1653+3945) is observed as a normal program source in the OVRO 40M blazar monitoring program. The 40M Telescope is equipped with a direct detection receiver using a cryogenic HEMT LNA. Receiver gain fluctuations are removed by Dicke switching at 500 Hz between dual azimuthally-separated off-axis beams, one containing the source and the other used as a cold sky reference field. To remove atmospheric fluctuations, the source is switched between the two beams in an A-B-B-A sequence. Four 8-second integrations are combined for the total 32 second duration quoted; the remaining time between the start/stop times is overhead for telescope slewing to move the source between beams. Pointing for normal program sources is achieved using a blind pointing model based on encoder readings and tilt sensors mounted on the telescope, plus a local correction measured by peaking up on a pointing calibrator source. Pointing corrections are measured at least once per hour and used only within 15 degrees on the sky. Due to a scheduling error, this source was observed twice each time it was scheduled during the entire MWL campaign period. These observations were made back-to-back. In this analysis, these back-to-back measurements were combined via a weighted mean and thermal errors were updated accordingly. The reported integration time reflects both measurements when combined.
